CSHP
California Society of Health System Pharmacists
The California Society of Health-System Pharmacists (CSHP) is a professional society of pharmacists and associates who serve patients and the public by promoting wellness and the best use of medications. Our mission is to serve as an organization through which the membership pursues its common professional goals, provide leadership for the profession and support for its members, and represent its members before private and public agencies and health care professional organizations.
Since 2003, the CSHP-Pacific chapter has represented the students from University of the Pacific under our parent state organization, California Society of Health-System Pharmacists (CSHP) and under the national organization, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). To our members, we provide opportunities for outreach, networking and mentorship with health-system pharmacists and education about health-system careers especially post-graduate opportunities such as residencies. We welcome all students to join, especially those who are looking to explore the variety of health-system careers and pursue a post-graduate residency.
The CSHP-Pacific executive board is always welcome to answer any questions you have about our organization.

NCPA
National Community Pharmacists Association
At the national level, the National Community Pharmacist Association (NCPA) is an active advocate for the community pharmacist and independent pharmacy owner seeking to provide quality patient care through legislative reform and mentorship.
At the local level, Pacific NCPA actively promotes community pharmacy through entrepreneurship, leadership, community involvement, and enabling students to participate in national conferences and competitions. From community heath screenings to legislative involvement, NCPA strives to build a strong foundation of experiences and unique networking opportunities for future pharmacy leaders. For example, through access to student mentorship programs, industry guest speakers, and independent pharmacy visits, Pacific NCPA student members are empowered with the knowledge needed to compete in a rapidly evolving industry.
Equally important, Pacific NCPA continues to foster entrepreneurship without losing sight of providing quality patient care by involving student members to participate in numerous health screenings and NCPA-sponsored community outreach programs in under-served communities.
